Investing
i4G has invested 1,8 million Euros by the end of June 2006.
In particular i4G :
- Participates into the incubatees' capital in the form of long-term (3-7 years) investment schemes.
- Participates into the capital only as a minority (usually 20-30%, with a maximum participation 49%).
- Acts as a mentor.
- Invests also in start-ups as long as the others partners contribute part of the capital.
- Selects capital participation into a variety of business sectors as well as niche markets.
- Utilizes contributions within the framework of both national and European programmes or initiatives in order to invest more effectively.
- In cases described as “highly risky” or in need of major capital amounts is needed, i4G has developed an investment approach involving Venture Capitals, while currently develops a scheme in order to achieve the participation of the “national fund for the New Economy Business Development”
i4G differs from Venture Capitals:
- In participation's size (maximum 2.000.000,00Euro)
- In concluding investments even in start-ups
- Invests in enterprises with common entrepreneurial activities.
